The Faculty of Law is one of the oldest faculties of the Tajik National University (formerly V.I. Lenin Tajik State University), which was established in 1949. The faculty’s scientists implemented their research plans in practice and thus made a significant contribution to the development of legal science in the Republic of Tajikistan. They also made a huge contribution to the preparation of draft laws and other regulatory legal acts. In addition, the Faculty of Law is the only academic institution of a legal profile that trains highly qualified specialists for judicial authorities, prosecutor’s offices and other domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies.
All conditions have been created at the Faculty of Law for the training of highly qualified specialists. The faculty has many classrooms equipped with the latest technologies, a library, an anti-trafficking training center, an Internet center and a forensic laboratory.
The faculty has 11 departments:

7. Department of International Law (Head of the Department – Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Kodirzoda N.);
8. Department of Human Rights and Comparative Law (Head of the Department – Doctor of Law, Professor Miralizoda I.K.);
9. Department of Transport Law and Natural Resources Law (Head of the Department – Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Sharifzoda F.);
10. Department of Foreign Languages (Head of the Department – Rakhmonzoda N.).
11. Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Expertise (Head of the Department – Doctor of Law, Professor A.K. Nazarov)
During their studies, students study the following subjects: history of state and law, theory of state and law, history of political and legal doctrines, history of state and law of foreign countries, constitutional law, administrative law, financial law, civil law, civil procedure law, criminal law, criminal procedure, labor law, international law, European law, transport law, environmental law, land law, family law, business law, trade law, criminology, English, German, French, Arabic.
Starting from the 2nd year, students, depending on the departments, are divided into specialties and study their subjects in more detail.
