PUBLIC COMMISSION FOR THE REGULATION OF CELEBRATIONS AND CEREMONIES

The Public Commission for the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the Public Commission) has been established in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan” dated June 20, 2024, № 2048, for the coordination of activities related to the regulation of celebrations and ceremonies, in accordance with the legal norms of the democratic state of Tajikistan, and taking into account national and universal values.

In its activities, the Public Commission is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan,” and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Public Commission is formed by the order of the head of the institution and consists of a chairperson, a secretary, and commission members. The composition and regulations of the Public Commission are approved by the Dean of the Faculty. Respected and experienced teachers of the faculty are included in the Public Commission. The Dean of the Faculty serves as the Chairperson of the Commission. Meetings of the Public Commission are held at least once every six months.

The main tasks of the Public Commission are to monitor compliance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan” by faculty teachers and staff, and to take necessary measures to prevent legal violations in this area.

To fulfill its main tasks, the Public Commission has the following powers: monitoring compliance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan” by faculty members and staff; developing recommendations and guidelines for conducting cost-effective celebrations and ceremonies; explaining legislative requirements and organizing educational and outreach activities among the labor collective regarding the regulation of celebrations and ceremonies; providing practical assistance to faculty members and staff in organizing celebrations and ceremonies; promoting the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan” and relevant scientific and popular literature within the workforce; ensuring coordination of the faculty’s work related to the regulation of celebrations and ceremonies; requesting information from the staff on the implementation of normative legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan regarding the regulation of celebrations and ceremonies; preparing reports on the monitoring of the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan”; and carrying out other powers as provided by the normative legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan.
