The Women’s Council of the Faculty of Law has been operating and functioning since 1950. In the second semester of 2025, the Women’s Council of the Faculty will include more than 800 students and 48 employees, of whom 10 are candidates of legal and pedagogical sciences. The Women’s Council operates on the basis of the Regulation on the Department for Work with Women and Girls of the Tajik National University dated 06.02.2009. The Women’s Council of the Faculty of Law takes an active part in all meetings and events planned by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Presidium of the National University of Tajikistan and the Faculty of Law. At the same time, the girls of the faculty proudly take part in events that take place at the republican level, such as greeting His Excellency and other representatives of the state. The Women’s Council annually develops a work plan and carries out its activities in accordance with it. According to the work plan, each event will be held once or twice a month. Events are planned and held in the city, university and faculty. The tasks of the Women’s Council include:
1. Strict control over the behavior of girls in the faculty;
2. Management of testing and examination sessions for female teachers;
3. Enrollment of girls according to the presidential quota and control over their behavior and education;
4. Control over the implementation of the decision of the Council of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan on the ban on the use of mobile phones, cars of various brands, school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pens, etc.
5. Supervision of dormitories according to the presidential quota, orphanages and other dormitories where female teachers live;
6. Accommodation of girls in dormitories upon enrollment and after it, explanation of the internal rules of the faculty and dormitory;
7. Organization of meetings with law enforcement officers, war and labor veterans, prominent figures of the republic;
8. Proposal to encourage female teachers to actively work and study.
Women lawyers have made a significant contribution to the development of the Tajik National University and the Faculty of Law.
