The procedure for admission of applicants – foreign citizens and stateless persons to the Tajik National University
1. Admission of foreign citizens to the Tajik National University is carried out in accordance with the Law “On Education” and other regulatory legal acts.
2. Admission of foreign citizens is carried out according to an allocated quota on the basis of a state agreement, as well as on the basis of an agreement with a university in accordance with the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
3. The university admits foreign citizens who have general secondary, primary, secondary vocational and higher vocational education. The level of qualification required for admission to these forms of education is determined by the university in accordance with the requirements of the current educational programs.
4. Foreign citizens are admitted to the university under the following conditions:

- in specially designated reception areas with the permission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan;
- by mutual agreement with the university for each place within the specified number of licenses with payment of tuition fees in accordance with this admission procedure.
5. For Tajiks living abroad (Tajiks of national minorities in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States), an additional tuition fee under a contract is established for all university specialties.
6. If foreign citizens have completed the preparatory department, the results of the final exam at the preparatory department of the university will be counted as the entrance exam results.
7. Foreign citizens entering professional educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan on a contractual basis enter into an agreement with the educational institution, which defines the conditions of study, obligations and rights of the parties.
8. Documents that applicants submit to the university admissions committee:
- personal statement (questionnaire) indicating the chosen specialty and form of study;
- the original educational document equivalent to the state educational documents of the Republic of Tajikistan (certificate of equivalence of education), indicating the specialty (degree), subjects studied and assessment results, confirmation of their translation into the state or Russian language in the established manner;
- document on secondary education (for applicants to the 1st year);
- a document confirming receipt of full-time education, as well as an academic certificate (diploma) of incomplete higher education or a diploma of professional education of various levels (for applicants to advanced training courses);
- Bachelor’s degree (specialist’s degree) or equivalent degree (for applicants to a master’s degree);
- a certificate of the established form confirming successful completion of the training course; – a medical certificate of the established form confirming the absence of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), and a special note to it, certified by the official health authority of a foreign state;
- a copy of the passport with a valid visa and registration (when staying in the Republic of Tajikistan), – a migration card;
- 6 photos 3×4.
9. Acceptance of documents from applicants is carried out after nostrification (giving equivalence) of their educational documents and determination of the level of education.
10. Candidates who fail to appear for the entrance interview on the specified date without a valid reason will be considered as having failed the interview.
