Student Scientific Club “Civil Law” at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law, Tajik National University (TNU)

The Student Scientific Club “Civil Law” at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law of Tajik National University is one of the important forms of extracurricular learning and research activity for students. It was established at the initiative of the department’s instructors and with the support of the faculty leadership, aiming to strengthen a scholarly and educational environment among students and create a real foundation for developing young talents in the sphere of protecting civil rights.

The club functions as a free forum for scholarly thought where students, under the guidance of experienced instructors, hold discussions and analyze topical issues of civil law such as contractual and obligation matters, inheritance law, and protection of intellectual property rights. Through these discussions, students deepen not only their theoretical knowledge, but also develop skills of legal analysis, debate, and public speaking.

One of the club’s main areas of activity is involving students in research work. Club members select research topics of theoretical and practical significance, conduct studies under faculty supervision, and present their results in the form of academic papers, reports, and term projects. This process helps students form methodological and research skills and prepares them for independent analytical work.

In addition, the club annually participates in organizing student conferences, round tables, academic seminars, and meetings with scholars and practitioners in the fields of state and law. These events not only facilitate the exchange of views and scholarly experience, but also introduce students to the real environment of academic and professional activity.

The club also pays special attention to identifying and supporting young talents. Students who are active in research and deliver academic reports receive support from the department and the faculty and are recommended to participate in national and international conferences. Within the club, short-term training courses and meetings with civil servants, representatives of the judiciary, and law-enforcement bodies are also held, which broadens students’ practical experience.

The activity of the “Civil Law” club strengthens scholarly ties and constructive cooperation between instructors and students. It is not only an additional means of instruction, but a true school of science, research, and civic spirit. Through its work, the club helps form educated individuals with a legal worldview and civic responsibility, fostering a new generation capable of putting into practice the values of national statehood, human rights, and the rule of law.

Overall, the Student Scientific Club “Civil Law” is not merely an organizational form of students’ scholarly work, but a living environment of thought and the formation of academic personalities that makes a significant contribution to the faculty’s scholarly development and to raising legal literacy among youth.

The Student Scientific Club “Civil Law” at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law operates each year as one of the important instructional and scholarly units, making a significant contribution to involving students in research activity and to raising the level of legal culture. The club’s overarching objective is to involve students in scholarly research, strengthen a legal worldview, and develop analytical thinking in the field of civil law.
