ASSOCIATION OF GRADUATES

The Association of Graduates of the Law Faculty of Tajik National University (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”)  is a voluntary membership organization established without legal entity status for the purpose of carrying out activities determined by common interests and aimed at mutual support between graduates of the Law Faculty of Tajik National University and current students, their projects and initiatives, promoting the traditions of the university, and implementing promising educational and scientific programs.

The main objectives of the Association are:

a) to strengthen ties and corporate spirit between students and graduates of the Faculty of Law of all generations, to unite and promote the social advancement of graduates, and to facilitate their self-realisation;

b) encouraging graduates to maintain contact with the university and the alumni community;

 c) increasing the effective use of the intellectual potential of TNU Faculty of Law graduates and the university’s capabilities in training and retraining personnel in demand on the labour market;

d) preserving and strengthening the traditions of the university, enhancing the prestige of the TNU Faculty of Law in the international educational community by organising and developing interaction between graduates, maintaining cultural, creative and business ties with the faculty;

e) creating mechanisms for ongoing communication and professional interaction between graduates of different years and students;

 f) assisting faculty students in their personal and professional growth through interaction with graduates;

g) combining the efforts of graduates who are able to contribute to the development of the university’s scientific, educational, and material and technical base.

Members of the Association may be individuals who are graduates of the TNU Faculty of Law. Membership in the Association is voluntary. New members are admitted by the Chair of the Association on the basis of a personal application.

The governing bodies of the Association are: the General Meeting of the Alumni Association and the Council of the Alumni Association. The highest governing and management body of the Association is the General Meeting of the Association members, which is convened at least once a year. The governing body of the Association between General Meetings is the Council of the Association. The location of the Association Council is at the location of the Association. The General Meeting of the Association elects the Association Council (once every three years) and honorary members of the Association. The Association Council is elected for a term of three years. The Association Council holds meetings at least once every six months. The Council consists of the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Association, the Secretary of the Association, honorary members of the Association, and the Executive Committee of the Association.
