The student research group “Forensic-Expert” operates at the Department of Forensic Science and Forensic Examination of the Faculty of Law at TNU. The club is led by Assistant of Department F.A. Yusufzoda, and the student leader is fourth-year student majoring in “Forensic Examination” Kholov Sh.
The group functions as a free intellectual and scholarly space where students, under the guidance of experienced faculty, discuss and analyze current issues in criminal investigation. Through these discussions, students not only deepen their theoretical knowledge but also develop skills in reasoned legal analysis and public speaking.
One of the group’s main activities is engaging students in research. Group members select research topics of theoretical and practical significance, conduct their research under the guidance of faculty, and present their findings in the form of research articles, reports, and term papers. This process fosters the development of students’ methodological and research skills, preparing them for independent work and analysis. The group functions as a free intellectual and scholarly space where students, under the guidance of experienced faculty, discuss and analyze current issues in criminal investigation.
In addition, the group annually organizes student conferences, roundtables, scientific seminars, and meetings with scientists and specialists in forensic science and investigative operations. These events not only facilitate the exchange of ideas and scientific experience but also introduce students to the real-life conditions of scientific and professional work.
The club also places special emphasis on identifying and supporting young talent. Students who actively engage in research and present papers receive support from the department and faculty and are encouraged to participate in national and international conferences.
The group’s primary goal is to enhance students’ legal knowledge. The group’s activities include an exchange of opinions, scientific presentations, and educational discussions. The results of the group’s activities are reflected in the students’ academic life.
The Student Research Group at the Department of Forensic Science and Forensic Expertise meets annually and, as a key educational and research unit, makes a significant contribution to student engagement, the development of research, and the advancement of legal education.
Meetings are held twice a month and address issues related to the department’s disciplines, including forensic science, forensic science, and investigative operations. 20-25 students attend each meeting. Two papers are presented at each meeting. Over 40 first- and fourth-year students participate.
