Student Scientific Club “State Studies”at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, Faculty of Law, Tajik National University

The Student Scientific Club “State Studies” at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law of the Tajik National University is one of the key forms of extracurricular academic and research activity among students. It was established on the initiative of the department’s faculty members with the support of the faculty administration, aiming to strengthen the scientific and educational environment among students and to create real conditions for the development of young talents in the field of law and state studies.

The club functions as an open platform for scientific and analytical discussions, where students, under the guidance of experienced professors, discuss pressing issues of state governance, the rule of law, the constitutional system, principles of democracy, and the organization of public authority. Through such discussions, students not only deepen their theoretical knowledge but also develop analytical, debating, and public speaking skills.

One of the main areas of the club’s activity is the involvement of students in research work. Participants select topics of both theoretical and practical significance, conduct studies under the supervision of instructors, and present their results in the form of scientific articles, reports, and course papers. This process contributes to the formation of methodological and research skills, fostering students’ independence and critical thinking.

In addition, the club actively participates every year in organizing student conferences, round tables, academic seminars, and meetings with leading scholars and practitioners in the fields of state and law. These events promote the exchange of scientific ideas, enrich practical experience, and help students engage in real academic and professional activities.

Particular attention is paid to identifying and supporting talented students. Active participants who have distinguished themselves in research and academic activities receive support from the department and faculty and are recommended for participation in national and international conferences. Within the framework of the club, short-term training courses, meetings with government officials, representatives of constitutional bodies, and law enforcement agencies are also organized, which help expand students’ practical knowledge and professional outlook.

The activities of the “State Studies” Club are aimed at strengthening scientific collaboration and fostering constructive cooperation between professors and students. It serves not merely as an additional educational form but as a genuine school of science, research, and patriotism. Through its work, the club contributes to the formation of educated, law-conscious, and responsible citizens capable of upholding and implementing the values of national statehood, human rights, and the rule of law.

In general, the Student Scientific Club “State Studies” represents not only an organizational form of student research activity but also a vibrant intellectual environment that nurtures scientific thinking and personality development, making a significant contribution to the academic advancement of the faculty and to raising the level of legal awareness among youth.

Every year, the student scientific club “State Studies” organizes academic and educational events dedicated to the main national and historical holidays of the country. In particular, on the occasions of Independence Day, Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, President’s Day, and National Flag Day, the club holds scientific sessions and ceremonial programs in which students actively participate with reports and festive speeches.

Each spring, traditionally in April, the club organizes a student scientific conference with broad participation of faculty members and students. During the conference, the best papers are presented and discussed, and active participants are awarded certificates of honor and books.

Each year, the “State Studies” scientific club includes more than 30 members, selected from students of the 1st to 4th years. The active members regularly take part in conferences, competitions, and scientific-practical events, making a valuable contribution to the development of the faculty’s academic and research environment.
